The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process through which adults are guided in learning the teachings of the Catholic faith and prepared to receive the Sacraments of Initiation—Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. Each year, thousands of individuals are welcomed into the Catholic Church during the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday.

OCIA is also a valuable opportunity for practicing Catholics who wish to deepen their understanding of Church teachings. Our parish OCIA program prepares participants to receive the sacraments at Easter. Classes are held on Sunday mornings, beginning the last Sunday in September and continuing through May, with the sacraments received on Holy Saturday.

You can register using the link below—no formal commitment is required until February.

What was formerly known as RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is now called OCIA—the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults. This updated name more accurately reflects the structured sequence of rites that make up the initiation journey. The revised process now recognizes four main groups: catechumens (unbaptized adults), unbaptized infants, baptized non-Catholic Christians, and baptized Catholics who have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
